We had a blast capturing James and Joy on their engagement session! They are both so easy going and full of love for each other. We did the first part of their session around the beautiful Montage of Laguna Beach, the landscape there is incredible and always makes for great photos. We then headed down to the nearby beach named Treasure Island, which is definitely one of our favorite local beaches to visit and photograph. We love exploring the tide pools and watching the skim boarders. It's always a great day to be at the beach and this day was no exception. Here are some of our favorites, Enjoy!
Jacquie and Greg have a home on the coast of Newport Beach and their backdoor is literally just steps to the sand and surf. We love this little beach town and all the cute houses it has to offer. They wanted to make their engagement session personal to them, so of course it made sense to do it where they spend most of their days making memories with their sweet puppy and each other. This particular session gave us the most amazing golden California light that we just couldn't get enough of. We have so many favorites from their session that it was very hard to narrow down, but alas we did it and here are a few that we just love and hope you do too. Enjoy!
Open fields of wild flowers surrounded by an old wooden fence and a rust covered shed is not what you would expect in the urban sprawl of Orange County, California, but that’s exactly what we found for Chas and Kaitlyn’s engagement session. Leslie and I have been here in Southern California for over 2 years now and we sometimes miss the rural settings that we photographed on a weekly basis. Don’t get me wrong, we absolutely love Southern California and the beaches of Orange County, but it’s nice to know that there’s a place here that makes us feel like we’re back in the country. We met Chas and Kaitlyn in San Juan Capistrano just off the 5. The day was overcast which gave us nice soft light to shoot in. Chas and Kaitlyn's wedding was in Laguna Hills at Crossline Community Church. They both currently live in San Francisco, but Chas grew up in Orange County so they decided to have their wedding here. We can’t wait to show you their wedding photos. Here are a few of our favorites from their engagement session. Enjoy!
